The Bongetta Formaggi was set up in 1958 by Almo Bongetta who started his business with enthusiasm laying the foundations of today’s concern.
Since his death in 1987 Formaggi Bongetta has been operating thanks to the commitment and dedication of its family members.
Our recently renovated plant in Cosio Valtellina is registered and licensed with IT 03492 CE to use the Consorzio registered trademark CTCB. It is equipped with cold stores where cheeses like Bitto and Valtellina Casere are ripened.
The factory is situated in southern Valtellina, close to the Orobic Alps, an area which is notoriously favourable to the aging of the typical Valtellina natural-rind cheeses.
