General Terms of Sale

The terms below govern all purchase and sale contracts entered into on the website "Store Valtellina" ( or or The products and services purchased on the website are sold directly by B2X Srl ("the Seller"), registered office in Rome, Via Tiburtina 1236, 00131 Rome, Tel. 06-41523300 - Fax 06-41523304, VAT no. 11020591001, entered in the Company Register of Rome no. 1272364.

For further information you can contact our Customer Service via email using the form present in the Contact section of Store Valtellina.

We reserve the right to modify these general terms of sale at any time; any new rules will become effective from the moment they are published on our website, and will apply to sales that will be made from the time of their publication.

We therefore invite you to carefully read the terms of sale whenever you buy something from us.

1. Definitions

1.1 Customer: any subject, a natural or legal person, that purchases one or more products through the website, agreeing to the site's general terms.

1.2 Provider: an enterprise from the Province of Sondrio that produces items for sale and, following the Confirmation of Order, deals with corresponding packaging.

1.3 Travel Services Provider: commercial company responsible for providing transportation services and tourist packages such as, but not limited to, rail travel, sale of ski passes, hiring of equipment, hotel bookings. The travel services provider.

1.4 Seller: commercial company with which the Customer enters into a sale contract, purchases and resells products or services from the Provider. Name, Legal form, Registered office, Registration in company register, Tax code, VAT Number and Head appear clearly in the confirmation of order (see below).

1.5 Confirmation of Order: notice sent to the Customer via email confirming final details of the purchase contract entered into by the Seller and the Customer (of which these terms are an integral part).

1.6 Price: that indicated in the Confirmation of Order, inclusive of VAT in different percentages depending on product type.

1.7 Product(s): those indicated in the Confirmation of Order.

2. Business policy

Store Valtellina's mission is to accompany the above-mentioned suppliers in the world of e-trade, with special reference to B2C (Business to Consumer) trade for the sale of products and services to private consumers.

Store Valtellina offers an online commercial brokerage service to producers and tourism firms of the province of Sondrio.

The Seller is the commercial company that is responsible for running the Store Valtellina website on behalf of local Producers and commercial companies, promoting the image of local products and services in virtual channels and maintaining relations with consumers.

In view of its business policy, the Seller reserves the right not to dispatch orders received from entities other than Customers or in any case orders that do not comply with its business policy.

The General Terms of Sale pertain solely to the supply, sending and acceptance of product orders from the Customers of Store Valtellina to the Seller.

The General Terms of Sale do not pertain to the supply of services or sales of products from entities other than the Seller that may be present on Store Valtellina by means of links, banners or other hypertext links. Prior to submitted purchase orders for products and/or services from subjects other than the Seller, the Customer is invited to read their terms of sale. The Seller indeed is not responsible for the supply of services from third parties other than the Seller or for concluding e-trade transactions between Store Valtellina users and third parties.

3. How to conclude a contract with Store Valtellina

3.1 To conclude the purchase contract for one or more products on Store Valtellina, the customer must fill in the order form in electronic format and send it online to the Seller, following the relative instructions.

3.2 The order form contains a reference to the General Terms of Sale and a summary of the main information regarding each ordered product. This information refers to the price (inclusive of all applicable taxes and/or duties), possible payment methods and types of delivery for ordered products (plus relative costs). There is also a link to the site's General Terms of Use.

3.3 Prior to purchasing products by submitting the order form, the Customer must carefully read the General Terms of Sale and General Terms of Use, and to print and/or save a copy for possible future use.

3.4 The contract is concluded when, after the Customer has checked the data regarding the order, the Seller receives online the corresponding order form.

3.5 By submitting the order form the customer unconditionally agrees to and undertakes to comply with the present General Terms of Sale in relations with the Seller. If the customer does not agree to some of the terms set forth herein, he is invited not to submit the order form for the purchase of Store Valtellina products.

3.6 By submitting the order form the customer confirms that he is aware of and agrees to the additional information contained on the Store Valtellina site in the General Terms of Use and in the Information Note on the processing of personal data.

3.7 The order form will be filed in our database for the period of time needed to dispatch orders, and in any case in compliance with law provisions. The customer may access the order form by consulting the Personal Area section > My orders, for product orders requiring shipment.

3.8 The languages at the disposal of the Customer to conclude the contract with the Provider are Italian and English.

3.9 Product prices may be subject to change. The customer must know the final sale price before submitting the relative order form.

3.10 Purchase requests from countries not included among those given in the section "Product shipment and delivery" may not be accepted by the Seller.

3.11 Once the contract is concluded, Store Valtellina will handle the corresponding purchase order.

3.12 The Seller may not go ahead with purchase orders submitted by the Customer if sufficient guarantees about the solvency of the Customer are not provided, or if the relevant information is incomplete or incorrect. In such cases the Seller will inform the customer, via email, of the non-completion of the contract, specifying the reasons why it has not been possible to complete the order.

3.13 In general, all items present on Store Valtellina are available immediately. However, the Seller may in no way be held liable for the temporary unavailability of one or more products. If specific products presented on Store Valtellina are no longer available or on sale after the order form is submitted, the Seller will duly inform the Customer of this unavailability prior to Confirmation of the Order. Unless otherwise agreed (see Right of Withdrawal section), the customer's submission of the order form serves as acceptance also of a partial delivery, limited to products available among those ordered, and as waiver of the right to seek compensation and/or indemnity. If the customer has already paid for the full order, the Seller will refund the amount corresponding to unavailable products according to the methods described below (see section Refund times and methods).

3.14 For products requiring shipment, once the contract is concluded the Seller will send to the Customer, to the email address and in the language specified in the order form, confirmation of the order request, containing a summary of the information contained in the same form (as per art. 1.3.2) . This document is not the Confirmation of Order, which will be sent at a later time, when the Products are actually shipped.

3.15 For products requiring shipment, when the products present in the order form are actually sent the Seller will send to the Customer, to the email address and in the language specified, the Confirmation of Order. This document will contain the list of products actually purchased, with the main details, including the price inclusive of VAT. It will contain all the information on shipping details, costs and estimated delivery times. It will also contain the total cost of the order (with and without VAT) and the main details of the payment effected. Finally, the document in question will give a summary of the General Terms of Sale, General Terms of Use of the site and the tax details of the Seller (Name, Legal form, Registered office, Registration with company register, Tax code, VAT Number and Contact).

3.16 For transportation and tourism products, once the contract is concluded the Seller will send to the Customer, to the email address and in the language specified in the order form, the voucher confirming the order, containing a summary of the information contained in the same form (as per art. 1.3.2) . This document is the Confirmation of Order, and must be presented when the transportation and tourism services are provided, together with a valid ID document.

4. Cancellation of Order

4.1 It is possible to cancel orders that have not yet been dispatched (marked with status: 'being processed' or 'awaiting payment'), using the ad hoc form present on Store Valtellina in the Customer Service Area> Orders.

4.2 Registered customers can cancel the order by accessing their orders history in the Personal Area.

4.3 It is not possible to cancel an order once the shipping process is under way or when the voucher confirming transportation and tourism services has been sent.

4.4 If when an order is cancelled the corresponding payment has already been effected, it will be necessary to contact Customer Service to open the refund procedure (as described in the section Refund times and methods)

4.5 For transport services, the order cancellation may be effected as follows: for purchases made at least 7 days prior to the supply of the first service, the customer may request cancellation within 48 hours of the purchase by sending a communication to Customer Service; in all other cases there is no right of withdrawal, unless it is due to force majeure causes, pursuant to the terms of use of specific service providers.

4.6 For tourism services, the order cancellation may be made ​​within 10 days from the date of check-in reservation. The refund will be 75% of tuition paid and will be disbursed in the manner described below. After this limit, you can not make any reimbursement. You can request the cancellation of a reservation by sending a notice to Customer Services.

5. Guarantees

5.1 Store Valtellina offers for sale only top quality products and services of the Province of Sondrio. Products are purchased directly by the Seller from Providers who, in the case of products, handle storage, packaging and shipping activities, while in the case of services, they directly provide the services.

5.2 The Seller does not sell products that are second hand, unlawful or of a quality below market standards.

5.3 The main features of products are presented on Store Valtellina on each product details page. The images and colours of products offered for sale may not match those received due to effects produced by the Internet browser or monitor used. Furthermore, products that are "hand made", a characteristic clearly indicated in the product details page, could be different in terms of design and/or colour and/or size, owing to the unique nature of each product made.

5.4 The Seller places the utmost attention to the close matching of Store Valtellina descriptions with what is written on product packaging labels. It is stressed however that if there are differences the Provider's label will always be the original information source.

5.5 The Seller and the Supplier guarantee that all law provisions and regulations are complied with regarding the preservation of food products up to the time of delivery in the place specified in the order form. For all sold products the liability of the Provider is applicable. For packaged products the Provider is also responsible for the truthfulness and completeness of information given on packaging.

5.6 If the product has deteriorated in respect of its basic properties or is inedible (in the case of foodstuffs), the customer may ask for the item to be replaced, contacting Customer service within 5 (five) working days of the date on which the products are received and specifying as the reason "cover against non-compliant product". Once it has checked compliance with the above terms, the Seller will send, through its Customer Service, an email to the Customer called "opening of return process" containing the procedure to be followed for the return of products (see Return procedure). The Seller will proceed, at his expense, to collect the faulty product via a courier, directly to an address indicated by the Customer. Upon reception of the product the Seller, in agreement with the Provider, will check that is has actually deteriorated and, if so, will replace the goods at its own expense, no later than 30 (thirty) days from the date of reception of the return. If the product has not deteriorated, the Seller will promptly inform the Customer of the negative outcome of the return procedure, and will not send any product as a replacement. The customer may in any case, at his own expense, collect the product from the Seller no later than 30 (thirty) days from the communication of the negative outcome.

5.7 The product conformity guarantee will correctly apply if the following conditions are fully met: a. The email requesting the return procedure contains information regarding the order code and the reason for the return; b. returned products are sent to the Seller in a single shipment. The Seller reserves the right to not to accept products of the same order, returned and sent at different times;

6. Further Guarantees for the Buyer

6.1 When Providers join the "Store Valtellina" project, they are asked to sign a code of practice that binds the Seller and Providers to protect Customers' interests. In greater detail, the following rules will have to be met:

  • To gain access to the online market the Provider will have to make an application with the Promoters Committee of the Store Valtellina project, which will decide on the admissibility and conformity of its products. The above Committee consists of representatives of the following organisations:
  • Province of Sondrio
  • Provincial Tourist Consortium of Sondrio
  • University of Pavia
  • "Valtellina che gusto" Multiconsortium
  • Confindustria Sondrio (union of Sondrio industrialists)
  • Unione Artigiani Sondrio (union of Sondrio crafstmen)
  • Coldiretti Sondrio
  • Gruppo ISED Spa - B2X Srl
  • Each provider will tell the Seller which products are quality certified pursuant to specific regulations and will act to promptly modify any information that might have changed. Each product datasheet will therefore indicate the protection labels/marks applied to each product.

6.2 Any disputes arising between the Seller and the buyer will be settled in accordance with the law of the place where the buyer resides; the same holds for the competent Court (thus excluding, barring special agreements, foreign Courts or arbitration panels);

6.3 The buyer will have the right of "change of mind" in accordance with laws and regulations in his country on distance selling (if no such laws are in place a minimum standard term will be established - 10 days for instance - for the return of the good);

7. Payments

7.1 The Seller will only accept payments in Euro.

7.2 For payment of the price of products and of relative shipping and delivery costs the customer may use one of the methods indicated in the order form.

7.3 If paying by credit card, the whole payment procedure will be managed in a totally secure manner by Banca Credito Valtellinese, by means of its provider KeyClient ( The Seller will accordingly never be in possession of any sensitive information (e.g. complete number of credit/debit card, or security code).

7.4 Alternatively the Customer may pay via bank transfer, made out to:

  • The reason for payment must contain the order code communicated by Store Valtellina in the email confirming the order.
The transfer must be effected within 5 days of sending the order form. Once this period has elapsed the Seller is unable to ensure availability of the goods ordered.

8. Product shipment and delivery

8.1 Store Valtellina ships its products in Italy and to a number of European Union countries via its courier TNT Italia. Goods are delivered, via express shipment, within 3-4 working days (Monday to Friday) of reception of the order form. The Seller nevertheless reserves the right to deliver ordered products within 30 days of the mail confirming the order.

8.1bis The terms of paragraph 8.1 above shall not apply in all cases where the customer provides details of the shipment is incorrect or incomplete, for such cases, the seller assumes no liability of any kind.

8.2 The Seller undertakes to do all in its power to comply with the above delivery times, but may under no circumstances be held liable for damage or inconveniences caused by possible delays.

8.3 The countries that Store Valtellina ships to are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, United Kingdom (excluding Channel Islands), Czech Republic, Romania, Spain (excluding Balearic and Canary Islands), Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary.

8.4 Products on sale come from a number of Providers, each of whom is responsible for packaging his own products. For the same order, with products from different Providers, there will be only one shipment, whereas the number of packages will depend on the number of providers involved and on the packaging policies adopted by them. The various items pertaining to the same order will in any case reach the customer with a single delivery.

8.5 Shipping costs will be calculated for each order, and will vary according to the parameters below: Country of destination, total weight of purchased products, number of Providers involved, as per the following:

Extra cost per each Provider involved in order: EUR 0.50.

8.6 All of the above costs are inclusive of VAT @20%. Art. 12 of Presidential Decree 633/1972 on VAT matters states that, as transport is an "accessory service" in relation to the "main service" consisting of sale of the good, the same percentage is applied to transportation as that applied to the sale itself. If the sale refers to the sale of goods subject to different VAT rates, transportation costs must be apportioned in proportion to the value of single goods, and each proportional spending item is subject to a different VAT rate.

8.7 Shipments to countries outside the EU will still be charged with EURO currency. Can also be applied an additinal cost for customs clearance of items vary depending on the country of destination and the goods purchased. Store Valtellina not directly manage the customs clearance procedures, which will be fully in charge of the shipping carrier.

8.7 The Seller reserves the right to alter shipping costs at any time and without having to give prior notice. Changes to rates will be given in the present General Terms of Sale.

8.8 The Customer is asked to always check the number and integrity of packed items. Any irregularities or damage must be immediately reported to the courier, rejecting the delivery and promptly informing Customer Service of this fact. Replacement and re-delivery costs will be met in full by the Seller, who declines however any and all liability for acceptance of an irregular pack not checked at the time of delivery in the presence of the carrier.

8.9 In the case of services, shipment consists of the electronic sending of a single voucher valid for the supply of the purchased or booked services: no paper-based material will be sent.

9. Right of withdrawal

9.1 You are entitled to withdraw from the purchase agreement, without being obliged to explain the reasons why, within 14 days of the purchase.

9.2 The period of withdrawal expires 14 days after the day on which you or a third party, other than the carrier, designated by you, comes into physical possession of the purchased items.

9.3 To exercise the right of withdrawal, you are required to inform us of your decision to withdraw from the present agreement by contacting Customer Service or using the standard withdrawal form.

9.4 To comply with the withdrawal conditions, you simply have to send us notification that you are exercising the right of withdrawal before the end of the withdrawal period.

9.5 Effects of withdrawal
Should you withdraw from this purchase agreement, you will receive a refund for all payments made to us, including shipping costs (with the exception of extra costs paid depending on the type of delivery, exceeding the costs of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay, and in any case by no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from this agreement. Said sums will be refunded using the same means of payment as that used by you in the initial transaction, unless you expressly give us other instructions; you will not in any case have to incur any additional costs resulting from the refund. You are asked to kindly return the items without undue delay, and in any case by no later than 14 days from the day on which you inform us of your decision to withdraw from this agreement. This condition shall be met if you send back the goods prior to the end of the 14-day period. We will meet the cost of returning the items.

9.6 You shall be held liable only for the fall in value of the goods resulting from handling of the items in a manner other than that required to establish the nature, features and functioning of the items.

9.7 Pursuant to art. 59, letters c), d) and e) of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply in the following cases:

  • supply of goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly customised;
  • supply of goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly (e.g. fresh products or products stored at a controlled temperature – this characteristic is clearly indicated on the individual product page);
  • the supply of sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to hygiene or health protection reasons and that have been unsealed after delivery

10. Returns

10.1 The return procedure is opened only following a request from the Customer to exercise the right of withdrawal or following a request for the return of a non-compliant product (faulty, damaged, inedible - for foodstuffs -, etc.). When it receives the request from the Customer, the Seller will in any case ensure that the conditions needed to open a return procedure are met.

10.2 Following the opening of a return procedure, the Seller will send the Customer an email containing a description of methods for the return of the product.

10.3 In the event of a return based on "right of withdrawal", the customer must send back the products to the Seller asking the address to the Customer Care. The cost of returning the goods is to be met by the Customer.

10.4 In the event of a return based on "cover against non-compliant product", the Seller will see to the collection of the goods via express courier from the address indicated by the Customer.

10.5 The returned package must contain a copy of the Confirmation of Order sent to the email address indicated by the Customer or of the waybill present on the package when it was received. Under no circumstances will C.O.D. or carriage forward packages be collected.

11. Refund times and methods

11.1 A refund procedure may refer to two types of situations:

  1. Refund of the total amount for an order for which the right of withdrawal has been exercised;
  2. Partial refund for an order for which one or more products are unavailable.

11.2 Whatever the method of payment used by the Customer, the Seller will make the refund as quickly as possible, or of sending the confirmation of order (in the case of partial refund due to the unavailability of one or more products).

11.3 Regardless of whether or not the recipient of products, as indicated in the order form, tallies with the subject paying the amounts due for their purchase, amounts will always be refunded by the Seller to the subject effecting the payment (identified as the holder of the credit card used for the purchase or as the holder of the current account from which the bank transfer used for the purchase originated).

12. Customer Help

12.1 The customer may ask the Seller for any additional information by contacting Customer Service via email using the ad hoc form present in the Store Valtellina Contact area. For more information the Customer Service area can also be consulted.

13. Privacy

13.1 Information on privacy is contained in the Information Note on the processing of personal data, which is an integral part of the terms of sale.

14. Applicable law and disputes

14.1 The General Terms of Sale are governed by Italian law, in particular by Legislative Decree 206 of 6 September 2005, concerning the consumer code, with special reference to legislation on the subject of distance selling, and Legislative Decree 70 of 9 April 2003 concerning some aspects of electronic trade.

15. Changes and updates

1.15.1 Changes may occasionally be made to the General Terms of Sale, sometimes due to regulatory and law changes. The new General Terms of Sale will take effect from the date they are published on the Store Valtellina website.
